We can always micro-manage heroes alittle by binding that to a key to force them to cast it before a battle.

From the guide, there is also [[Spirit Channeling]. Is that good on a hero?

Weapon of Warding is better than Resilient Weapon. For the majority of PvE, the hexes will be stupid and ineffective, and when they DO become a problem, it's better to remove it.

I don't see how either one of those should be used to replace the other.

One is for blocking, the other is for hex/condition mitigation. Seeing how its just more useful to remove the hex/condition than having +6 regen and 24 armor, Warding is probably better in most cases.

Guardian having a 4 sec recharge and Aegis' 15 cc makes Warding more enticing anyway.

I would not generally consider that as an option since we have [attuned was songkai] as well as [offering of spirit]. The later of the two requires micro management (which I am not fond of at the least) much more frequently than the latter.

Then it looks like Songkai and Weapon of Warding would be most promising. I'll try them out on the hero along with something to help with the long recharge for Songkai.

I am thinking Ghostly Haste or Serpent's Quickness for the hero. I dont trust the AI for making good decisions on when to use the GoS, but I can experiment.

No they won't make a good decision in terms of Glyph. You'll have to disable it. Serpent's is fine though.

[skill]Splinter Weapon[/skill][skill]Ancestor's Rage[/skill][skill]Offering of Spirit[/skill][skill]Soothing Memories[/skill][skill]Spirit Light[/skill][skill]Protective Was Kaolai[/skill]
[skill]Weapon of Warding[/skill] OR [skill]Weapon of Shadow[/skill]
[skill]Life[/skill] OR [skill]Recovery[/skill]

Works just fine for me on heroes. Usually I run two of them, using both weapon spell and spirit choices. Only thing to watch is that sometimes you have to manually cast splinter on melee, since they will cast it on anyone holding a martial weapon, which can easily be a caster. Make sure to get 14 channeling to hit the splint weapon breakpoint.

Heroes are spam-happy with Weapon of Warding. Give it to a N/Rt, leave it off a Rt/X hero.

If they fixed hero usage of [[Offering of Spirit] i'd use them, but a N/Rt can make better use of the other Rt elites.

Yes it was difficult to use a primary Rt hero. I needed to micro manage Songkai and Serpent's Quickness, and even so because of the long recharge of SQ, its energy is still inferior to that of a N/Rt. May work better with [[Dwarven Stability] on a human player though.

It also depends on the level of your Spawning. On my rit when I used to use him for restoration. I had Spawning at 15. Why 15? Because at 15, 5 energy spells became 2 cc instead of 3 (16 spawning is useless unless you go for a very costly spell), which made it much more spammable. With [soothing memories], you actually get an INCREASE of 1 energy every 4 seconds. This along with [mend body and soul] and [spirit light], you can practically spam all day. Course, I doubt heros would take advantage of this fact, so its probably best to leave this to a human.

EDIT: I don't know why the description says SM is 5 seconds recharge, but I'm pretty sure its 4 recharge.

If you want a nice Rt/X Healing Build.... Try:

Life, OoS, Spirit Light, Mend Body and Soul, Wep of Warding, Wielders*** Boon and Mending Grip....

I just run an Aptitude not attitude Staff, +30 HP, +5 Energy (Destroyer Skin)
Superior Resto Rune, major CHanneling. Either Full Radiant/Survivor Insigs if you want to have extra energy or safer with extra Health.

For the last slot I run either Protective was Kaoloi or Glyph of Enregy (either to make OoS a free energy cast or any of the healing skills... though the slight nerf was a pain). Other options include PvE skills like Breath of Great Dwarf or a Polymock Summon, Cap Sig... What ever you need based on area or Secondary Proffession....

This is what i run and it does well to heal, if there is major AoE damage, you can just keep putting Life up, but the build can really run with out the use of Life and still runs well (Thats why there is Mending grip, to cover for Mend Body and Soul if there is no Spirit.)

*Sorry, i don't know how to put in Skill bars or individual skill icons.*

***I meant Wielders Boone, not Healers... xD

Also, spawning is the worst primary att in the game. Avoid it if possible.
